There are so many different beliefs around the world that I always find the holiday season so interesting. I follow the Christmas holidays myself. This has always been my favorite time of the year, just like the song! My sister and I would laugh over how early are we turning on Christmas music. I'll say up front I'm part of a large family and we get together all the time. That being said, there have been many Christmases that I felt very alone and lonely, even within a large loving family. Through the years and my work with the Goddess this is now a thing of the past. I may still have moments of loneliness, but over riding is all I feel joy, contentment and peace. There is so much emotion and energy that can be expressed through music. This evening I attended a Christmas concert. The singer is a lovely woman who is from Croatia, she also played keyboard. There was a man on synthesizer, a woman playing the cello and another who sang and played flute, chimes, bells, etc. The music touched me so deeply! The first cord from the synthesizer had my tears flowing! There were other moments when I could my heart was wide open. I almost skipped the concert because I had been so busy today but man, was I glad I took the time to sit, listen, feel and experience this glorious music. It was a nice break.
I'll have 20 +/- here for dinner on Christmas Eve. I love this!! We all meet at my folk's house then on Christmas day. What are some of your traditions? How are you feeling?
